Boils are not an exciting experience to have and it causes discomfort too. Boils can appear anywhere on the skin however they mainly appear on buttocks, thighs, armpits, neck and face areas. These boils occurs mainly in areas containing hairs, sweat glands, areas where chafing can occur which are the major cause of boils. There are boils that can occur in carbuncles known as interconnected clusters, and if the case is severe it can develop into abscesses. Although anyone can get boils, people who have a compromised immune system, diabetes, acne, poor hygiene, and other skin problems are known to get them more. Causes of boils are normally from ingrown hairs, a splinter or other matter that has pierced the skin, blocked infected sweat glands, clothes causing chafing, malnutrition primarily caused by Vitamin A or Vitamin E.
